Privacy Statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers.

The kinds of personal information we collect and hold about our customers may include contact details such as your name, address, employment details, telephone or mobile phone number.

Techtrader will only collect and hold your personal information where it is reasonably necessary to enable us to carry on our business functions and activities.

Any personal information collected from individuals or customers is used primarily to enable Techtrader to contact you and / or to facilitate business transactions between our customers and Techtrader to buy or sell products. 

Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than if Techtrader is legally required to do so. 

Any personal information collected from individuals or customers will only be used by authorized employees within the company on a need to know basis.

We may use your personal information to contact you with emails, newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyse Log Data that your browser sends whenever you visit our site.

We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products.

First time orders will be either: EFT, COD, or terms as negotiated.
International customers are required to prepay via electronic bank transfer.
We welcome MasterCard and Visa (over $2000 will incur a surcharge) note; American Express cards are not accepted.

We reserve the right to seek recovery of any monies remaining unpaid sixty days from the date of invoice via collection Agencies and/or through the Small Claims Court in the event that the outstanding balance is not paid in full. ln such circumstances, the customer shall be liable for any and all additional administrative and/or court costs.

In the instance of nonpayment, we reserve the right to terminate the arrangement and, if agreed to, we shall insist on future cashtransactions only. Consequently, all transactions and agreements entered into will cease with immediate effect until such time as any and all outstanding monies are recovered in full.

Shipping Information

All shipping is F.O.B. Techtrader. Goods will be shipped via a reputable national trucking company, a courier service or Australia Post (subject to their terms & conditions). For shipments in the Sydney area, employees of Techtrader may assist with delivery of the order. Customers may make pick-up arrangements through their own preferred carrier. The customer will be charged for all shipping and handling charges and fees incurred in the process of delivering the order unless otherwise negotiated. Techtrader will take all reasonable steps to protect the equipment during shipment.

Return & Cancellation information

Techtrader will authorise the return and issue a full refund for any equipment that is not working as represented, and could not be replaced or repaired to the customer's satisfaction during the warranty period. The customer will be responsible for proper packaging of the equipment and all included accessories. Techtrader will pay for shipping costs, except where the item(s) have been sent on appraisal. Non-inventory items bought specifically to fill customer orders may possibly be returned, but on a case by case basis.

Customers who cancel orders after servicing/refurbishing has begun or after delivery where there are no equipment performance issues will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee and responsible for all shipping & handling costs for both the delivery and the return.

Warranty information

Techtrader is not a manufacturer of any of the products we market, therefore we do not have an independent warranty period. All of our equipment is inspected, serviced and or refurbished. Techtrader will typically guarantee for a minimum of 90 days but can be extended to 12 months, exceptions include items that are brokered from a third party or that are agreed to be sold ‘as is’ between Techtrader and the customer. New and demo equipment is usually warranted for a period of 12 months. (International warranties may vary).

Should an item not work properly during the warranty period, Techtrader will either repair and/or replace the defective part(s) or the item itself, and the warranty period shall start anew from the completed repair or receipt date. Warranty does not cover issues or damage caused by user error or mishandling.


Exclusions and Limitations

The information on this web site is provided on an ‘as is’ basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company:

Techtrader takes no responsibility for the inappropriate use of any pre-owned equipment. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that all necessary precautions and safety devices (where required) are installed and adhered to before the equipment is put into service.

This Company does not however exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer are affected.
